Attorney Parmanand Prashad is the principal lawyer at the firm. He is a highly sought after and well-respected attorney with over 15 years of solid litigation experience before both U.S. and Canadian courts. After obtaining the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with honours in 1993 from Cleveland, Ohio, he was admitted to the Bars of the States of New York and Ohio. He was also called to the Bar for the Province of Ontario, Canada. In addition, he is also called to the Bars of several United States District Courts. He is fully licensed to practice as an attorney before the various courts and tribunals in the United States and Canada. Mr. Prashad has successfully handled significant cases in the Provinces of Ontario and British Columbia, Canada and in such U.S. jurisdictions as New York, Florida, Michigan, Maryland, Wisconsin, Nevada & Washington. He enjoys the challenge of handling an important legal matter in the various U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions.

Mr. Prashad has appeared in major criminal cases with excellent results in several jurisdictions in Canada and the U.S. In a number of significant cases involving very large quantities of marijuana, cocaine and other illicit drugs, he has managed to get criminal charges dismissed against his clients while in other cases where his clients faced potential penalties of 20 years to life in prison, he has negotiated pleas which resulted in 6 to 31 months sentences for his clients. He also makes regular court appearances before the U.S. Immigration Courts at Buffalo, New York with occasional appearances at Detroit. He routinely handles matters before the various divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) in Canada on such matters ranging from family class sponsorship appeals, refugee claims, deportation /removal matters and appeals to the Federal Court of Canada.

Each year, the firm successfully handles hundreds of U.S. waivers for clients who need special permission from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in order to enter the U.S. Other U.S. visas such as TN, E-2, H-1B, L-1 visas and permanent residence visas are handled on a weekly basis by the firm. Canadian immigration applications ranging from family class sponsorships to skilled workers and business class applications are routinely filed by the firm with great success.

In addition to criminal and immigration law, the firm has vigorously sought and obtained full compensation for injured clients in serious personal injury cases ranging from broken bones and severe brain injuries to wrongful death matters in both countries. It has recovered millions in compensation for its injured clients during the past 15 years. It has always been ready and willing to take on the big insurance companies and their law firms in order to obtain justice for its injured clients. Attorney Prashad has filed law suits in various U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions in order to protect his injured clients’ interests.
